The VBAC project is an awareness project started by Amy Wehner of Opet Childbirth Services. The project serves to bring awareness to the option of a vaginal birth after a cesarean section, its outcomes and the need for more research, advocacy, and support for VBACS and cesarean prevention.
The mother’s and photographers who have contributed to this page have all done so on a volunteer basis in order to help promote and support VBAC awareness. VBAC sessions are held each year in April during Cesarean Awareness Month. If you have had a VBAC and would like to volunteer, click the button below.
We understand that not everyone is able to have a VBAC and some choose to have a repeat cesarean. We support women in all of their choices and encourage each woman to make the decisions that are right for them. If you want more information on all of your post-cesarean options, please consult with your health care provider and check out the information at www.vbacfacts.org.
